Can I change the name on my account?

Your Conservice account is tied directly to the lease agreement with your landlord (see Creating and cancelling your Conservice account). Because of this, the name on the Conservice account will default to the primary lease holder listed on the lease.

There may be times or situations where the name on the lease may need to be changed. While it may be possible for the name to be changed on most accounts, it does depend on rules set by your landlord. For some, only the primary lease holder can be listed on the Conservice account. To have the name on the Conservice account changed, you would need to have your lease updated. Most accounts can have the names changed on them though.

The first and most important step is to ensure that the name is updated on the account is to make sure it is included on the lease. If the name is on the lease, then we can have the account reviewed to have the name changed. If the name is on the lease, you can contact our Utility Expert team and request to have the name changed. Our team will confirm with your leasing office that the name is on the lease, and will then update it on your account. If we are unable to contact the office, we will submit a support ticket on our end to continue trying to contact your office to confirm the name is on the lease. Once we have confirmed that and changed the name, we will call or email you to inform you that it has been updated.

Note: There are cases where your leasing office or landlord may be able to update the name on your account from their system. This may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to update in the Conservice system. If your leasing office or landlord has this capability, then Conservice will not be able to update it in our system. This is due to our data integration; if we change it in our system, it will update to whatever is in your leasing office's system after a few days again. Our team will refer you to speak with your office if this is the case.
