Can I change the name on my account?

Your Conservice account is directly linked to your lease agreement with your landlord (refer to Creating and cancelling your Conservice account for more information). As a result, the name on the Conservice account will default to the primary lease holder listed on the lease.

There may be instances where it becomes necessary to change the name on the lease. While it is possible to change the name on most accounts, it is subject to the rules set by your landlord. In some cases, only the primary lease holder can be listed on the Conservice account. To request a name change on the Conservice account, you will need to update your lease. However, in most cases, the names on the accounts can be changed.

The first and most crucial step to update the name on the account is to ensure that it is included on the lease. If the name is on the lease, you can contact our Utility Expert team and request a name change. Our team will verify with your leasing office that the name is on the lease and proceed to update it on your account. If we are unable to reach the office, we will create a support ticket to continue attempting to contact them and confirm the name on the lease. Once we have confirmed and changed the name, we will notify you via phone or email.

Note: There are situations where your leasing office or landlord may be able to update the name on your account through their system. This process may take 3-10 business days to reflect in the Conservice system. If your leasing office or landlord has this capability, Conservice will not be able to update it in our system. This is due to our data integration; any changes made in our system will be overwritten by the information in your leasing office's system after a few days. If this is the case, our team will advise you to contact your office directly.
